WE USE ONLY THE BEST MATERIALS IN ORDER GIVE YOU A LONG LASTING AND MAINTANENCE FREE WAY TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS
ALUMINUM: All of our patio cover and sunroom frames are built with extruded aluminum, making them strong and durable. We make sure to finish the aluminum with a baked enamel, a fantastic finish known for its resistance to fading and chipping. The aluminum framing can be custom powder coated to match any colour.
FASTENERS: We use stainless steel screws to hold everything together so that there are no weak points in our durability.
ACRYLIC: The roof panels we use are made of high impact ACRYLITE® acrylic. No other plastic comes close to ACRYLITE® in terms of weather resistance, brilliance, transparency and surface hardness. Its ability to stop 100% of the suns UV makes it the best option for an outdoor roof. This is why we can offer a 30 year non-yellowing or cracking warranty, the best in the industry by a 20 year margin! Manufactured strong, the acrylic is easily capable of handling the weight of our installers as they walk on it to build your patio cover.
There are multiple colours and tints of acrylic available. The most popular being our HEATSTOP COOL BLUE due to its ability to stop the heat and give shade without making it dark underneath.
The ability to allow the light to come through the acrylic is very important when considering the interior of the house we attach to. The ability to diffuse the light that comes through is almost as important. What this does is create a soft even glow that spreads the light to areas where the sun doesn’t normally reach.
Eze-Breeze®: Made by PGT Industries, these window frames are made of aluminum for durability. Although they looks like glass, the window panes themselves are made of a very tough 10mm flexible vinyl that will stretch when pushed. This takes away the fear of “breaking the window”, as a thrown baseball will just push the vinyl in a little ways and bounce off. The vinyl will immediately come back to its original position. It has proven itself in its ability to withstand the Edmonton cold and is easily replaceable if cut.
LUMON: This design originates from Finland and has spread across the world. Made with 8mm or 10mm tempered glass, it is nearly impossible to break these glass panels. These panels all ride in tracks mounted to the ceiling and floor and can slide to one end to open like a door to stack out of the way. These walls are all built custom for each situation and can go around corners if necessary. The glass panels butt into each other and a plastic h seal is available to better keep out the weather. There are several designs of glass walls, each for a different use.
Lumon 5 is meant for above a railing on a raised deck or balcony. The weight is supported on the bottom track and the panels open 90 degrees. A glass railing is available to compliment this.
Lumon 6 is a full height wall with the weight supported by the top track and the panels also open 90 degrees.
Lumon 7 is a full height wall with the weight supported on the bottom track and the panels only open enough to allow the next panel to slide behind it except it is not frameless, and offers a better seal against the elements.
ENGINEERING AND PERMITS: Our products are engineered to handle all the wind and snow that Alberta can and will throw at us. Each project that we build gets special consideration as to meeting building code and permit requirements. Permits are legally required to build patio covers and sunrooms in Alberta and we have the necessary engineering to get permits in all counties and cities in northern Alberta. The city of Edmonton requires site specific engineer stamped drawings in order to get a permit which we will provide as well.
